عقد مجلس الشؤون الاقتصادية والتنمية اجتماعاً عبر الاتصال المرئي.

وفي بداية الاجتماع استعرض المجلس التقرير الربعي المُقدم من وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، الذي تضمن مستجدات الاقتصاد العالمي وتأثير التحديات الجيوسياسية والتقلبات في الأسواق العالمية في آفاق النمو العالمي، كما تناول التقرير آخر التطورات المتعلقة بالاقتصاد الوطني، والتوقّعات المستقبلية حتى عام 2027، مبرزاً المرونة العالية التي يتمتع بها في مواجهة التحديات العالمية، وما تشير إليه مختلف الإحصائيات والمؤشرات الاقتصادية من نموٍ لافتٍ يرسخ مكانة المملكة من بين أسرع الاقتصادات نمواً واستقراراً في العالم.

واطّلع المجلس على تقرير أداء الميزانية العامة للدولة للربع الرابع من العام المالي 2025، المُقدّم من وزارة المالية، الذي تضمّن عرضاً شاملاً للأداء المالي خلال الفترة، متضمّناً تطورات الإيرادات والمصروفات، ومستويات الدين العام، وتحليلاً للمتغيرات الاقتصادية المحلية والعالمية وانعكاساتها على المؤشرات المالية.

وأظهرت نتائج التقرير استمرار تبنّي سياسة مالية متوازنة ومرنة، تدعم النمو الاقتصادي وتعزز الاستدامة المالية على المديين المتوسط والطويل، من خلال توظيف أدوات مالية تتسم بالانضباط والكفاءة، ومواصلة الإنفاق المعاكس للدورة الاقتصادية، مع توجيهه نحو البرامج والمشاريع التنموية ذات الأثر الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، بما يسهم في تحسين جودة الخدمات العامة، وتحفيز الاستثمار، وترسيخ متانة المالية العامة.

وناقش المجلس عدداً من المعاملات الإجرائية، من بينها مشروع نظام المنافسات والمشتريات الحكومية، ومشروع نظام الفضاء، وإحاطة لما تم حيال تكليف مجلس شؤون الجامعات بتحديث الأنظمة اللازمة لحوكمة الجامعات والكليات الصحية الحكومية والأهلية والإشراف عليها ومتابعتها دورياً، وتحديث عمليات الامتثال في الجامعات والكليات الصحية الحكومية والأهلية بناءً على معايير الجودة المعتمدة من مجلس شؤون الجامعات.

كما أحيط المجلس بنتائج التقرير الربعي للرقم القياسي لأسعار العقارات، وملخصين عن التقريرين الشهريين للرقم القياسي لأسعار المستهلك وأسعار الجملة، والتقارير الأساسية التي بُنيت عليها الملخصات.

واتخذ المجلس حيال تلك الموضوعات القرارات والتوصيات اللازمة.

The Economic and Development Affairs Council held a meeting via video conference.

At the beginning of the meeting, the council reviewed the quarterly report submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, which included updates on the global economy and the impact of geopolitical challenges and fluctuations in global markets on global growth prospects. The report also addressed the latest developments related to the national economy and future forecasts until 2027, highlighting the high resilience it possesses in facing global challenges, as well as what various statistics and economic indicators indicate about significant growth that solidifies the Kingdom’s position among the fastest-growing and most stable economies in the world.

The council reviewed the report on the performance of the state’s general budget for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, submitted by the Ministry of Finance, which included a comprehensive presentation of financial performance during the period, covering developments in revenues and expenditures, levels of public debt, and an analysis of local and global economic variables and their reflections on financial indicators.

The results of the report showed the continued adoption of a balanced and flexible fiscal policy that supports economic growth and enhances financial sustainability in the medium and long term, through the use of financial tools characterized by discipline and efficiency, and the continuation of counter-cyclical spending, directed towards developmental programs and projects with economic and social impact, contributing to improving the quality of public services, stimulating investment, and reinforcing the robustness of public finances.

The council discussed a number of procedural transactions, including the draft competition and government procurement system, the draft space system, and an update on the assignment of the Council of Universities Affairs to update the necessary regulations for the governance of public and private health universities and colleges, overseeing them, and monitoring them periodically, as well as updating compliance processes in public and private health universities and colleges based on the quality standards approved by the Council of Universities Affairs.

The council was also informed of the results of the quarterly report on the real estate price index, and summaries of the monthly reports on the consumer price index and wholesale prices, along with the core reports on which the summaries were based.

The council made the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding these topics.
