وقفزت أسعار العقود الآجلة للغاز الطبيعي الهولندية تسليم شهر أبريل القادم بنسبة 47.7% إلى 47.2 يورو لكل ميجاواط لكل ساعة، في تمام الساعة 03:38 مساءً بتوقيت مكة المكرمة.

ويأتي هذا بعدما أعلنت «قطر للطاقة» تعليق إنتاج الغاز الطبيعي المسال والمنتجات ذات الصلة، حيث يأتي جزء كبير من شحنات الغاز المتجهة إلى أوروبا من الدوحة ويمر عبر مضيق هرمز، الذي توقفت فيه حركة الشحن أخيراً؛ بسبب تصاعد التوترات.

وفي محاولة لتهدئة الأسعار، أكد متحدث باسم المفوضية الأوروبية، أن واردات الاتحاد من الغاز متنوعة بشكل جيد، فضلًا عن امتلاء خزانات الغاز في المنطقة بمستويات كافية.

Dutch natural gas futures prices for April delivery surged by 47.7% to €47.2 per megawatt hour, at 03:38 PM Mecca time.

This comes after “Qatar Energy” announced the suspension of liquefied natural gas production and related products, as a significant portion of gas shipments heading to Europe comes from Doha and passes through the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping traffic has recently stopped due to escalating tensions.

In an attempt to calm prices, a spokesperson for the European Commission confirmed that the EU’s gas imports are well diversified, in addition to the gas storage facilities in the region being filled to adequate levels.
