وجاء هذا الإعلان في بيان مشترك لمكتب الممثل التجاري الأمريكي خلال زيارة رئيسة الوزراء اليابانية “ساناي تاكايشي” إلى البيت الأبيض؛ تفعيلاً لإطار العمل الذي وقعه الرئيس دونالد ترمب مع الجانب الياباني في طوكيو خلال شهر أكتوبر الماضي.

وكشف البيان عن توجهات استثمارية كبرى، حيث تستكشف إحدى الشركات الأمريكية- أكبر منتج لليثيوم عالمياً- فرصاً لاستثمارات يابانية في مشروعها لإنتاج الليثيوم قيد الإنشاء في ولاية كارولاينا الشمالية.

كما تجري إحدى الشركات اليابانية محادثات للاستحواذ على حصة أو تأسيس مشروع مشترك مع شركة أمريكية.

This announcement came in a joint statement from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative during Japanese Prime Minister “Sanai Takahashi’s” visit to the White House; activating the framework signed by President Donald Trump with the Japanese side in Tokyo last October.

The statement revealed major investment directions, as one American company – the largest lithium producer globally – is exploring opportunities for Japanese investments in its lithium production project under construction in North Carolina.

Additionally, one Japanese company is in talks to acquire a stake or establish a joint venture with an American company.
