وبلغت حيازتها من السندات خلال الفترة نحو 160.4 مليار دولار، مسجلة بذلك أعلى مستوياتها في 6 سنوات.

وتقدمت السعودية بمرتبة واحدة إلى المركز الـ 17 ضمن كبار حاملي السندات الأمريكية، حسب بيانات وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية.

ويعود ارتفاع استثمارات السعودية في سندات الخزانة الأمريكية خلال شهر فبراير الماضي إلى الارتفاع المسجل في حيازة السندات قصيرة الأجل بنحو 26 مليار دولار وبنسبة 91% شهرياً، حيث بلغت 54.6 مليار دولار، لتُشكل ما نسبته 34% من الإجمالي مقارنة ﺑ21% في شهر يناير الماضي، وتُعد الأعلى على الإطلاق.

وفي المقابل، تراجعت استثماراتها في سندات طويلة الأجل بشكل محدود لتبلغ 105.8 مليار دولار، وتمثل 66% من الإجمالي.

وتصدرت اليابان الدول الأكثر استحواذاً على سندات الخزانة الأمريكية خلال شهر فبراير الماضي، بنحو 1239.3 مليار دولار، تلتها المملكة المتحدة بقيمة 897.3 مليار دولار.

Saudi Arabia moved up one rank to 17th place among the largest holders of U.S. bonds, according to data from the U.S. Treasury Department.

The increase in Saudi investments in U.S. Treasury bonds during February was attributed to the rise in short-term bond holdings by approximately $26 billion, representing a 91% month-over-month increase, reaching $54.6 billion, which constitutes 34% of the total compared to 21% in January, marking the highest ever.

In contrast, its investments in long-term bonds decreased slightly to $105.8 billion, representing 66% of the total.

Japan topped the list of countries with the largest holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds in February, with approximately $1239.3 billion, followed by the United Kingdom with $897.3 billion.
